Summer Schools

For the first time, WAB students participated in the Danish Summer School ‘Sustainable Marketing’, organised by our partner university Dania Academy in Viborg, which took place from 05.08.24 to 18.08.24.

The two-week summer school was based on the preparation of a sustainable marketing strategy (within the framework of the 17 SDGs) for one of the local companies, which students from Poland, Colombia, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark had to develop together in group works. Their preparation for the projects was supported by lectures, workshops and visits to local sustainable companies, such as ‘Thy Kassen’, whose eco-friendly food ‘green boxes’ are distributed to local residents, or ‘Strandet‘, which processes plastic products found on the beach on the west coast near Klitmøller, known for its surf spots known as ‘Cold Hawaii’. Students took part in a workshop on the Danish culture, watched a local football team match and visited Aarhus, Denmark’s second largest city. For those who were interested, there was also the opportunity to visit the Nordic Lake Festival, which took place on the final weekend of the summer school.

This is the first Erasmus+ short-term mobility that WAB students and lecturers have participated in, and we do hope it will be a good start for future Summer Schools.
