Outgoing students
Why take part in the Erasmus+ Program?
We should probably start from the well-known saying ‘Once Erasmus, Always Erasmus’ which means when you once start the Erasmus + adventure and travelling, you will not want to stop!
Erasmus exchange is a fascinating experience that not only boosts your CV or allows to make international friendships or distinguish yourself on the labour market but also learn independency in the adult life. It is an excellent choice (especially for the first long term trips)! The application is not complicated and the program provides monthly financial scholarship and a wide range of partner universities.

Health insurance
- A prerequisite for mobility from the Erasmus+ Programme is having valid health insurance, which must cover the dates of physical mobility abroad. One possibility is to obtain an EHIC card from the Lower Silesian Unit of the National Health Fund (NFZ) at 55a Romuald Traugutta Str. The EHIC card covers European countries and is conditional on having health insurance in NFZ or reporting a family member to the Fund.
More information here: https://pacjent.gov.pl/ekuz, https://www.nfz-wroclaw.pl/ and https://www.nfz.gov.pl/dla-pacjenta/medical-treatment-abroad/.
- If you do not have NFZ insurance, or if you do have it and would like to extend your insurance coverage, you may also purchase the ISIC card, which covers accident insurance in Poland and abroad and medical treatment during travel. In addition, there is the option of purchasing an additional liability insurance.
The cost, types of cards, list of countries where ISIC insurance is recognised and additional information can be found on the website: https://www.isic.pl/en/about-isic/the-isic-card.html and https://www.isic.org/.
A list of places where the card can be obtained may be found at: https://www.isic.org/.
- Another option is to take out insurance from private insurance companies; the cost depends on the company and the insurance package chosen.
Erasmus scholarship
