STUDY DESCRIPTION
Within the COMPUTER NETWORKS AND CYBERSECURITY specialization, issues related to broadly understood telecommunications are discussed, with particular emphasis on ICT networks. Students will learn, among others with LAN and WLAN technology, wireless network technology, security of ICT systems, attack techniques and mechanisms to protect against these attacks.
A student of the computer networks and cybersecurity specialization acquires knowledge and skills in the field of, among others:
- computer network design
- IP addressing
- configuration of network devices
- static and dynamic routing rules
- network analysis and management
- techniques of attacks methods of securing the network against attacks.
FOR WHOM
Students of COMPUTER NETWORKS AND CYBERSECURITY will gain knowledge about general issues of computer science, including operating systems, algorithms and data structures, and programming languages. They learn about digital technology, computer architecture and the secrets of IT project management. There will also be issues related to the ethical aspects of information technology. During their studies, students will become aware of the variety of its applications in technical, business and economic systems. They will learn about the methods of data collection and processing, the basics of decision-making – control, or artificial intelligence methods.
