Graduates of our MBA program are eligible to sit on the supervisory boards of state-owned companies and are exempt from passing the exam.
About the study
The current pace of technology development and digitization is setting new standards in business management, especially in the IT area. In response to these changes, Wroclaw Business Academy offers a 2-semester MBA IT Management course that combines information technology management with modern techniques of organizational management. This course is unique in that it provides theoretical knowledge supported by practical skills, based on the years of experience of leaders in the IT industry.
The degree program is designed to enable students to understand key aspects of IT management in a rapidly changing business environment. This combination of technology knowledge with leadership and management competencies gives graduates the ability to effectively manage IT teams, technology projects and implement innovative solutions. The lecturers – business practitioners, IT managers and high-tech specialists – have prepared unique case studies and workshops that reflect the real challenges faced by organizations in the era of digital transformation.
Purpose of study
The goal of the MBA in IT Management is to develop management competencies that will enable effective leadership of IT projects, technology teams and strategic management of technologies in an organization. The program offers students practical tools and methods to optimize IT processes, implement innovations and ensure IT security. With classes taught by experienced industry experts, participants will have the opportunity to gain knowledge in the latest technologies and strategies, such as Cloud Computing, Big Data, artificial intelligence and process automation.

KATARZYNA PILARCZYK
For more than 20 years she has been managing international projects, programs in the fields of competence building and transformation, education, culture and diversity. Since the beginning of her career, she has led international teams and worked for various international institutions (such as the European Commission and UNESCO), multinational corporations, manufacturing companies, higher education institutions and NGOs. An experienced mentor and coach. She holds numerous certificates confirming her qualifications, among them:

Since March 2022, she has been working as a Learning Leader and is responsible for developing the leadership competencies of leaders and managers at all levels in Europe, Africa and the Middle East for PPG – the world’s largest manufacturer of paints, coatings and specialty materials. A graduate of the master’s and doctoral studies in management science at the Wroclaw University of Economics, she began her professional career in 2003.
PAWEŁ RASZEJA
A graduate of Wroclaw University of Technology, he began his professional experience in 1993 at Telekomunikacja Polska S.A..
In 31 years, he managed projects for more than 23 years, including more than 18 in the IT sector. He implemented TP’s first automated broadband service creation system, then took on the position of Program Director, whose goal, together with France Telecom, was to implement a service measurement and creation platform.
In April 2011, he became a member of the Euro2012 team and took on the position of Telco Venue Manager. A UEFA-accredited Manager, Paul and his team of more than 120 people built the IT infrastructure at the Wroclaw City Stadium, which enabled more than 1.4 billion people around the world to see and hear broadcasts of matches played at the Wroclaw City Stadium.
He joined IBM in January 2013, serving as Head of Project Management and Europe Transition Leader, managing a team of more than 200 Project Managers in Europe and India.
Currently, as of September 2021, he continues his career at EY, leading strategic projects
He has been teaching MBA classes at the Wrocław Business Academy for over 7 years, and is also the originator and co-creator of the original MBA program “Project Management & Leadership”.
REMIGIUSZ SAMBORSKI
Remigiusz Samborski began his adventure with IT projects at Nokia Siemens, then spent many years developing NetShock Creative, an interactive agency, to become, over time and with the experience he gained, responsible for the coordination and comprehensive management of a portfolio of projects as Delivery Director at the international company SoftServe. He co-founded the Sambors.pl brand for project management enthusiasts.
He has nearly 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Remigiusz is distinguished by such certifications as Project Management Professional (PMP®), SAFe® Agilist, Professional Scrum Master, Cloud Digital Leader, Associate Cloud Engineer and Professional Machine Learning Engineer. Additionally, he imparts his knowledge of project management and IT as a lecturer at the Wrocław Business Academy in Applied Sciences.
He currently serves as Developer Relations Engineering Manager at the globally recognized company, Google Cloud.
Simona Kowalska
Simona Kowalska is an IT Project Manager with over 10 years of experience in IT service management. In her career, she has held key roles such as Demand Manager, Service Owner and Service Manager, with a strong focus on understanding and meeting the business needs of clients. She is passionate about meeting new challenges in the rapidly changing world of new Technology.
She graduated from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria, with a master’s degree in financial management. She also holds a master’s degree in economics, which gives her a broad perspective in managing both technical and financial resources.
Over the course of her career, she has earned numerous industry certifications from organizations such as AWS, Azure, IBM, APMG International, including ITIL and FinOps, which validate her knowledge and skills in IT service management, project management and cloud cost optimization.
Jakub Wasyluk
Project manager, specializing in the implementation of cloud-based IT applications.
He currently works at Kyndryl as a Technical Account Manager and is responsible for services in the ModernOps/FinOps area from the solution design stage in response to customer inquiries as part of sales processes, and then building, implementing and subsequently maintaining the service at the highest level.
During his career of more than 15 years, he has led projects and teams responsible for building and developing IT infrastructure (data center), building and developing services and applications. He is always willing to try new technologies, solutions or tools in order to respond efficiently to customer needs.
Bartholomew Osieka
Long-time advisor and academic lecturer. Graduate of the Berlin Hertie School of Governance, the WSB-NLU in Nowy Sącz and the Polish Academy of Sciences. In 2006-2011 he managed the Ernst & Young Efficient State program. He has participated in many research projects in economics and law. He collaborated with teams from the London School of Economics, Emory University, Oxford University, the European Bank Coordination Initiative and the Ombudsman.
Fellow of the Kingdom of Norway, DAAD, Hertie Foundation and Marie Curie fellowship.
Dr. Bartosz Gonczarek
Co-founder of Apple award-winning software used by millions of students and teachers around the world. Finalist of the Polish Business Council’s Wejchert Award competition and the EY Entrepreneur of the Year poll. He founded and as CEO and founder led a startup from Wroclaw that conquered universities and schools around the world. His company and product became part of the global education market leader Promethean, a Nasdaq-listed company, in 2022.
Trained as a computer scientist and economist, he has advised the boards of the largest companies in the region on the subject and now – companies creating innovative solutions based on technology. He is the author of a forthcoming book on the right attitude towards the technology of the future which will be published in 2025. At WAB, he conducts a lecture series on International Business and Enterprise Management in which practical examples prevail over book knowledge.
