What is the Polish Language Certificate Exam?
It is an official exam on the basis of which a certificate of proficiency in Polish as a foreign language is issued, widely recognized not only by state institutions.
It allows you to determine your competence in using Polish as a foreign language at a selected level according to the EQF (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2).
Both the procedure for conducting the certificate exam, the method of issuing certificates, as well as the standards of examination requirements for each level of proficiency in Polish as a foreign language are established by the following legal acts:

Regulation on the State Commission for Certifying Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language of December 11, 2015.

WHEN CAN YOU PASS THE EXAM?
The State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language has announced the schedule of examination sessions in 2022/ 2023.
Examinations in Polish as a foreign language will be held on the dates and language levels listed below:
- November 5-6, 2022 (Saturday-Sunday): levels B1, C1 and C2 in a group adapted to the needs of adults;
- February 5-6, 2023 (Sunday-Monday): levels B1 and B2 in a group adapted to the needs of adults;
- April 15-16, 2023 (Saturday-Sunday): B1 and C1 levels in a group adapted to the needs of adults;
- June 24-25, 2023 (Saturday-Sunday): B1 and B2 levels in a group adapted to the needs of adults, and B1 and B2 levels in a group adapted to the needs of children and teenagers;
- November 18-19, 2023 (Saturday-Sunday): B1, C1 and C2 levels in a group adapted to the needs of adults.

Candidates should apply to the centers that will hold examinations on these dates. The list of centers (authorized entities) is available on the BIP website of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

How much is the exam?
- 90 euro – exams A and B2 dor children and teenagers
- 120 euro – level A1 and A2 for adults
- 150 euro – level B1 and B2 for adults
- 180 euro – level C1 and C2 for adults
- 20 euro – issuing of the certificate
Exam results and issuing of the certificate
The exam results are communicated to the examinees in writing by the centers organizing the exam (authorized entities). The procedure for checking and transferring the results can take up to 8-10 weeks after the exam.

The State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language issues certificates certifying proficiency in Polish as a foreign language to the centers organizing the exam. Certificates are issued after the fees are credited, within the statutory deadline of 30 days from the date of receipt of the exam protocol with final results.
How to sign up for the exam?
About two months before the exam date, the enrollment system is opened through the electronic form that will appear here. At the time set by the center, it must be opened completed and returned.
Those who register for the exam will receive payment details to the email address provided in the form within three days of registration. Applications sent by any other means than the online form will not be considered. The day and time for the start of registration will be announced no later than two weeks before the form opens. Please note that a limited number of places are available, the order of registration is important.
